Jaipur: The state government on Saturday said efforts to add 300 MBBS chairs.
Vaibhav Galriya Medical Education Secretary said the construction of three new government medical colleges in Sriganganagar, Chittorgarh and Dholpur were underway.
He said that efforts were also being carried out to start the MBBS course in these three medical colleges from the next session.
He held a review meeting with officials and representatives.
Sri Ganganagar Mla Rajkumar Gaur also participated in this meeting was held under the leadership of the Vaibhav Galriya Medical Education Secretary.
Gaur say medical facilities available for the general public will increase with the construction of new government medical colleges.
He said there would be no shortage of funds in the construction of additional medical colleges and if needed, maximum assistance will be provided from MLA funds.
Shivangi Medical Education Commissioner Swarnakar informed that before starting a new medical college, a mandatory inspection by the national medical commission team would be carried out.
He said inspections would likely be completed in April before the new academic session from May.
