Chennai: The cut-off sign for the receipt of MBBS / BDS in Tamil Nadu is likely to drop at least eight to 10 marks in all categories as expected, thanks to an increase of around 1,500 MBBS seats in the government medical college this year.
Minister of Health MA Subramanian released a list of rankings of MBBS / BDS for government quota and management quota management, in addition to 7.5% of reservations for government school students, on Monday, announced cut-off for all candidate categories.
Namakkal Student Geethanjali is top ranked list with 710 signs in NEET.
As many as four students obtained identical scores from 710 marks in this year’s ranking list and nine students from the top 10 came from the CBSE board.
Manimaran M is a candidate alone from the State Council among the top 10.
He scored 697 values in NEET.
Cut-off for the general category last year for government medical colleges is 598 values.
This year, it is expected to drop to 588 values.
However, the cut-off for government school students is expected to increase, because more students get a score above 250 grades this year.
Subramanian said counseling will begin on January 27, with different candidates is the first category given the receipt card.
In-people counseling for government school students will be carried out on January 28 and January 29.
“Online counseling for open students will begin on January 30.
The Directorate of Medical Education has prepared short videos to help students in the online counseling process,” Subramanian told reporters.
