MBBS students are stabbed to death in Yavatmal GMC

Yavatmal: A student in the last year of MBBS from Vasantrao on the Government Medical College (GMC) was stabbed to death on Wednesday night on campus.
The murder triggered protest by students who demanded the direct arrest of the attackers and resignation of Dean Dr.
Milind Kamble.

Kamble said the hospital filed firmly against an unknown striker on Wednesday night.
The police arrested two suspects on Wednesday midnight and their interrogation was underway, said SP Dilip Patil-Bhujbal.
On Thursday, the two suspects were given PCR until November 15 after they were produced in court.
Sources said unknown attackers tapped the deceased, identified as Ashok Pal, a resident of Thane, on the road to the new boy hostel when he returned from the college library at around 8:30 a.m.

Some students said there were quarrels between them and some outsiders in August.
Dean did not rule out the actions of revenge behind the murder.

SP Bhujbal, Additional SP Khanderao Dharne, Officer of the Nandkishilor Pant City Police Station, Awadootwadi PSO Manoj Kharah, Head of LCB Pradeep Pardeshi and the police team rushed to college.
SP and Amol Yedge collector, who also visited a college, convinced students arrest immediately in this case and appealed to them to maintain peace.

Kamble said he was ready to withdraw from the post if it would help resolve the problem.
He has sent his resignation letter to the Director of Medical Education and Research.
Collectors say that all steps will be taken to prevent such incidents in the future.
“The administration will send proposals to the state government to provide adequate compensation to the next KIN from Medico who died,” he said.
Students say the lives of a brilliant student disappear due to university administrative deviations.
They accused that there were no CCTV cameras and street lights on the campus road.
The college government was told about the situation on many occasions but the eyes were closed, they said.
They also claim there are no adequate security settings in college.
OPD was closed on Thursday because of a strike.
Patients who came from far from places facing difficulties because the main gate was closed.
After a fight between students and outsiders in August, the city police had registered the two sides.
The problem was resolved peacefully after the council member Nitin Mirzapure intervened.
The students and outsiders moved the application together before the police said they had resolved this problem and did not want to continue fir.

Kambu said, “This might be the reason behind the murder.
But the victim is a calm person.”
