MC knocks on illegal gate in the city area with notifications

Ludhiana: The Civic Body has launched a drive against illegal gate in various regions of the city and notifies members of the Welfare Association (RWAS) to get permission for this.
A survey that occurs in all zones will be completed in about a week, but the one in Zone C has gone through.
Recently, the RTI application submitted by an activist has revealed that the Civic body has given permission to the gate only in eight city colonies and does not have data compiled about others because it has never been done.
In Zona A, RWA was given permission and in Zone D, seven.
Officials now conduct surveys in the city.
In the report submitted by C zone officials, 27 gates were identified.
Madanjit Bedi’s city assistant planner said most of the housing colonies fell in the D zone, so it took time to cover them.
“We also issue a notification and survey data are being compiled.
It will take seven to 10 days to complete the report and submit it to the authorities,” he said.
As the Action of Punjab Municipal Corporation in 1976, MC can only develop roads / roads expressed as “public roads” and no one has the right to stop anyone from using “public roads” at a certain time.
MC General House in 2014 passed a resolution that allowed the installation of gates from a security point of view.
But some conditions are imposed, in accordance with all the rwas must submit permits after receiving the consent of the residents.
This colony will appoint three people to sign an agreement with the MC, which will allow the only gate in the area recommended by the Police Department.
The Area Association will ensure that the gate remains open from 5am to 11 a night and when they close, the gatekeeper is deployed for an emergency situation.
When passing the resolution, the MC house also said that the gate can only be installed on the outside road and not on the inner track.
But in the city, this can be seen on the roads too.
