MC plans to go by chd, collecting separate door-to-doors

Ludhiana: After studying the management of solid waste in various cities, city corporation plans to introduce a separate garbage collection system of chandigarh door-to-door in the city.
A survey is happening in the city to compile kitchen-wise data based on which the cost of waste will be repaired.
To play the system, the MC also plans to register private waste collectors (informal sector), which will be given e-rickshaws to collect garbage from home.
MC officials have been told to first compile reports in the kitchen in homes.
There are many houses that have two to three kitchens according to the number of family members.
The cost of garbage collection will be based on the waste produced per home.
Officials said they were given 30 days to complete the survey.
Field surveys have been going on from the last 15 days.
One official said, “We first studied the Chandigarh model for several days and now we are studying in the city.
The informal sector people mostly collect garbage from home.
They will be registered with MC, which will ensure they are paid together with them From houses.
