Ludhiana: Citizenship officials have begun to take strict steps against absenteeism that do not clean property taxes over the past few years.
On Monday, citizenship officials sealed five such properties and generated RS 5 Lakh’s revenue from absent.
Superintendent Zonal Abdul Satar said in zone B there were 17 such properties from whom Ars 20 lakh in the form of property tax was waiting.
Defraugters did not clean up contributions from 2018-19 despite receiving notifications.
Officials sealed buildings in the Sherpur area, Dakhari, Focal Point Phase 8, Harcharan Nagar and Mundian.
Officials have won recovery in several other regions as well but lost to paying a number of taxes in place.
