SIDHWAN WATERFRONT PROJECTLUDHIANA: To add more colors on the edge of the Sidhwan channel that has been beautified, the Civic body has decided to make a vertical garden under the southern kites.
Officials are now awaiting approval from superiors to it.
At night, the colorful lights have been installed under the flyover falling on flowing water and creating a beautiful effect.
There are around 15 pillars under the flyover and vertical gardens will be made along the walls.
Plants will be watered with drip irrigation methods.
Many vertical parks have been made in the city.
The Mayor of Balkar Sandhu said, “Officials are working on proposals and very short we will begin to create a vertical garden under the flyover.” Secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs Durga Shanker Mishra, who visited the city three days ago, also went to the seafront and praised the project.
In his social media handle, the Secretary also praised Nagar Sarabha’s market beauty projects and mini-rose parks and a small garden created from secretary waste material sharing our projects and also praised some of them.
This will give us encouragement to work harder and complete the project in a certain period of time.
The Waterfront Canal Sidhwan project received many awards.
