MCC to the trader: Has another Kannada Nameboards loss license

Mangaluru: Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) is ready to act against shops and commercial companies in the city that violate the rules about the implementation of Kannada.
The corporation has decided to suspend the trading license issued for traders and other business companies in the city if their name / signboard is not in Kannada.
Karnataka shops and commercial company rules state that each nameboard establishment must be on Kannada and wherever other languages ​​are also used, the version in other languages ​​will be under the Kannada version.

Commissioner MCC Akshy Sridhar said in accordance with the orders by the state government, Kannada mandatory in the trading board in all trade shows, and City Corporation has published a trade license to the same companies in conditions.
In terms of violations, the trade license will be canceled without prior notice, the commissioner said.
“We have noticed that several local business companies have violated this rule by having their names in English.
