Faridabad: Corporation of the City of Faridabad (MCF) announced on Tuesday rehabilitation policy for residents of Khori Village, where the Supreme Court has ordered the demolition of 10,000 homes built illegally on Aravali forest land.
Under the policy, titled “Rehabilitation Policy of Khori Jhuggi”, the Civic’s body sets three conditions for the villagers to qualify for around 1,800 Flat EWS at Faridabad’s Dabua Colony and Bapu Nagar.
Residents must meet at least one of these conditions in accordance with the criteria for feasibility, at least one member of the income or family head must be a registered voter from the Badhkal assembly constituency on January 1, 2021.
Those who choose in Delhi will not be rehabilitated in Haryana, officials clarify.
Second, the head of the family must have “Parivar Pehchan Patra” (family ID card) issued by the Haryana government on January 1 this year.
The third condition is that the electrical connection offered by DHBVN Discom must be on behalf of the head of the family or member of income.
Those who meet these criteria will arrive at the rehabilitation list.
This is separate, every resident of Khori with annual income by 3 lakh rs per year can seek rehabilitation.
Those who allocated Flat EWS had to pay each of Rs 3.8 lakh.
Of the total number, RS 17,000 must be paid within 15 days after the rationing letter issued.
“Flat will be available at Rs 3,77,500 and each Allottee must make a face in advance of Rs 17,000 within 15 days after a rationing letter.
The remaining number can be paid in installments of Rs 2,500 a month for 15 years,” Commissioner of the City of Garima Mittal said at a press conference on Tuesday.
The Flat EWS in Dabua Colony and Bapu Nagar have a carpet area of 30 square meters.
They have an electrical and water connection too.
The eligible villagers will also be paid Rs 2,000 for six months or until their EWS time is ready, which is early.
“Everyone who qualifies will be rehabilitated.
In addition, those who do not create obstacles in the government demolition process will be given a priority.
Those who protest driving and prevent officials from carrying out court orders will not be considered,” said Deputy Commissioner Faridabad Yashpal Yadav.
Corporate officials said they would soon establish camp so that villagers could submit their documents for rehabilitation.
Civic’s body, officials said, first of all will notify the villagers from the feasibility conditions and then give them enough time to prepare documents.
They clarified that drives demolition will begin before July 19 in accordance with the command of the Supreme Court.
The villagers in Khori have valived against the demolition drive and prevented officials from several occasions.
