Gurgaon: MCG has asked the commissioners together to start a survey to identify unauthorized buildings in their zones where construction occurs even though sites are sealed because they do not take approval of development plans.
The Civic’s body will also focus on increasing its income from the approval of the building plan, officials said.
Superior Commissioner Vaishali Sharma said on Tuesday that the purpose of this survey was to prevent the construction of unauthorized buildings at the initial stage itself.
“Also, the architect who does not comply with the norms of the Haryana building code will be blacklisted by the corporation,” he said.
The MCG planning wing has also established Helpdesk to help applicants so that their application for the approval of the building plan is not rejected.
Officials said that steps were also taken to increase the civic body income from the approval of the building plan in the city.
The corporation is estimated to generate an income of Rs 10 Crore from the approval of the building plan in the fiscal year 2021-22.
In the financial year 2020-21, MCG produced around Rs 68 lakh from the approval of the building plan against the target RS 3 Crore.
The council members who attended the meeting were also informed that the planned building plot of the distribution colony was also approved by the Civil Agency.
The Board members said that they would notify residents that they could obtain the approval of the building plan from the plot of division so that MCG’s income also increased with the increasing number of applications.
