Gurgaon: Personal city hospital has been ordered to charge for parking facilities.
This case is registered after the complaint was submitted by the Corporation Municipal Gurgaon (MCG).
In September 2020, someone named Ramesh Yadav had filed a complaint to the 43 police sector against the hospital for what he suspected was illegal parking accusations.
There was no action taken, following what he entered another complaint, this time in the CM window, in October the same year.
CMO took awareness and directed MCG to file a police complaint against the hospital.
The Civic Body provides a property tax discount to provide free parking facilities in the basement of a commercial building.
According to the complainant, the Paras Hospital is alleged to take advantage of this.
“According to the rules, hospitals should provide free parking to people but it bills them,” Yadav claim.
After receiving last year’s complaint, MCG initiated an investigation.
It was found that hospitals commercial use of the basement-2 and imposed property tax RS 16.27 lakh.
“The hospital pays the number.
Then, in the direction of the CM Window Cell, we filed a complaint against him,” said a senior MCG official.
Based on complaints, a case was registered at Paras Hospital on Thursday at the Sushant Lok police station under the IPC Section 384 (extortion).
However, the hospital claims that it provides free parking in the basement and valet parking for the convenience of patients.
“We have a free parking lot in our basement for several cars.
In our hospital, we also have valet parking facilities that are only used when the basement parking is full.
Free valet parking for the first 15 minutes and then charged Rs 30 for four Hours.
We provide this assistance to our patients so they don’t have to take unnecessary stress to park their cars in the OPD for hours.
The parking details are mentioned near the entrance gate.
