Gurgaon: Gurgaon City Corporation (MCG) cleared 30 hectares of encroachment in the village of Balihawas on Thursday.
The law enforcement team dragged four cricket land, one horse farm, two houses and several boundary walls and temporary structures built on MCG land.
A team led by Ajay Sharma, MCG Zone-3 assistant engineer, dismiss in the village.
MCG officials said a total of 100 hectares of land had been reclaimed in Baliawas for the past week, because the corporation has made a demolition encouragement to clean 70 hectares on Saturday.
“After we got information about encroachment, we decided to clean 100 hectares of land in two parts.
We reclaim 70 hectares on Saturday and 30 other hectares on Thursday.
We ensure that the drive is done before the police,” Sharma said.
Commissioner with MCG-3 Dayom Attri said they received complaints that some people had built sports land, academies and other illegal structures on the land of MCG in the village.
“We have installed the ownership board on the land which clearly states that it is land MCG.
The board also mentions that actions will be taken against those who try to break the land.
We will continue our anti-encroachment drive and decisive action will be taken according to the law of the shrimp,” said Attri.
He added that they identified other areas where government land had been occupied illegally to clean the plot.
In the drive carried out on Saturday, MCG destroyed the sports academy that had been operating since 2008.
Officials said the MCG Commissioner has provided direction to eliminate encroachment from corporate soil so that it can be used to generate income.
