MCG Spat Leaf Board is divided

Written by news2in

Gurgaon: The ongoing struggle between representatives and selected MCG officials, triggered by the suspension of the Superintending Engineer Ramesh Sharma, has caused divisions between board members.
Some of them have expressed concern that corporate images have been tarnished because of several council members and mayors, while some other people feel the selected representatives must be “treated with dignity”.
The meeting chaired by Commissioner MCG Mukesh Kumar Ahuja on Friday to resolve the deadlock attended by senior officials, workers and four council members – Ashwani Sharma from Ward Number 19, Anoop Singh from Ward Number 6, Ashwani Sharma from Ward Number 23 and Naveen Dahiya from Ward number 12.
Sharma Bangsal Number 23 says MCG gets a “bad name” because of five or six selected representatives and their relatives.
“These people throw violations on MCG officials and place them under pressure to complete their work.
Their work is complete on paper but not on the ground.
The mayor acts under the influence of several people.
If the representative family members are chosen to disturb, we are ready Approaching even PM, “he said.
On Thursday, the Head of the MCG had issued an order that the meeting related to Civic Body Business Transactions and other administrative works only had to be attended by their officials and selected representatives in accordance with the provisions of the corporate law Haryana Municipal, 1994.
“Representative family members were chosen not to have the right to attend home meeting, “Ahuja said during the meeting on Friday.
Anoop Singh’s board members alleged that the mayor’s son had shouted at MCG officials at home meetings.
“When I filed an objection, the Mayor said he was his PA.
I said even if it was the problem, he had no right to demean anyone or spoke at home meetings,” he said.
Singh added that as the mayor was the “first population” of the city, it set a bad example if his son was responsible for the meeting he used.
Ashwani Sharma from Ward Number 19 said on several occasions during home meetings, representative family members were chosen to increase the problem and discuss the agenda.
“They can come and attend meetings but they cannot provide their advice, raise objections or officials and other board members.
They also cannot sit in the chair of the selected representative,” he said.
Other members, who do not want to be named, are added, “Superintending engineers must be restored and those responsible for this chaos must be taken to the task.
People who do not have a relationship with the MCG approve the budget and approve the estimate of Crores,” said Board Member.
However, the view was not shared by several other board members like Mahesh Dayma Ward number 30, who said Sechard SE should not behave in the way he did.
“If a representative was chosen to ask MCG officials, they could submit their arguments and answer questions.
However, Wrong to just leave the meeting.
This does not honor the chairman of the mayor.
This is a democratic country and official must treat selected representatives with dignity, “Dayma said.
