Gurgaon: Commissioner MCG has issued orders who ask the heads of all departments to maintain separate registers for their presence and staff movements.
The order was released for hours after local urban ministers Anil Vij made a visit without notice to the corporate office on Thursday and expressed dissatisfaction with the way it worked there.
Two sub-division officers were also suspended because they remained absent without notice.
“All office heads / branches with this are directed to ensure that the registers of the presence and register of the movement in connection with their office / branch are maintained correctly,” read the order by Mukesh Kumar Ahuja, on July 22.
The presence at the Haryana office is marked using a biometric machine, but the practice has been suspended according to the Covid protocol.
Most of the departments in the corporation, said sources, have begun to maintain two separate registers for the presence of staff and their movements.
