Gurgaon: Sector 9 residents face a difficult time due to increasing dust pollution in the area.
They have blamed the authority of the citizenship because it failed to implement an effective policy for dust disposal collected by mechanical sweeping vehicles.
During the past week, several vehicles have been dumping collecting dust in a blank plot adjacent to the 9th Sector Park during hours.
This, the residents’ said, has caused difficulties to breathe for the population.
They claimed to have submitted several complaints but was in vain.
Prashant Chauhan, President of Rwa, said: “This is Irony.
MCG claims to keep the dust free road and make our sector dust bowl.
We have seen many vehicles between 3am to 5am that collect dust on the empty plot.
We have made a few Complaints to officials but nothing was done to stop this illegal dumping.
“According to residents, this vehicle waste dust a few months ago, after the police were called to stop the disposal.
Kr Sharma, a resident, said: “I failed to understand the logic behind collecting dust from one part of the city and threw it in other housing areas.
When the wind blew, the particulate was suspended in the air and caused difficulties breathing, especially in senior citizens.” Hospital Yadav , another resident, said: “Because of the illegal disposal by MCG, the others also began to dispose of solid waste and C & D in the empty plot.
The roads were damaged in several locations, producing dust.
The authorities actually closed the eye against the situation and We continue to suffer.
“When contacted, a senior MCG official agreed that they were throwing dust in the empty plot.
He said that the dust was then flattened using a machine or a newer used in the Recarpeting of Roads.
“However, I will examine it and will be cleaned soon,” said Rishi Malik, a senior sanitation inspector (MCG).
