MCH to have a Cath neuro lab

Thiruvananthapuram: The government has gave sanctions RS 4.15 Crore to establish a Cath Neuro lab at the Medical College Hospital.
According to Health Minister Veena George, this will be the first lab to come in a government hospital in the state.
The lab will have facilities such as radiological vascular angiography systems and digital reduction angiography.
Thrombectomy, where blood clots are removed from the brain, will also be completed in the Cath Neuro lab, said Minister of Health.
Like a CATH procedure that is done so that the heart to find out and remove blocks, the blocks that occur in the brain can also be eliminated, through this procedure, he added.
As part of this, along with the lab he said it would be a middle stroke.
ICU and CT angiogram facilities will also be part of this center.
It is being established adjacent to the victim of the victim of a medical hospital.
The total amount needed for this stroke center will be Rs 12.78 Crore.
Apart from the Cath Lab, the funds for all other facilities being formed were previously released.
This center will provide emergency medical attention to people who come with symptoms of strokes and blood clots in the brain.
The government aims to prepare these stroke centers in all state medical hospitals, he said.
