MATHURA: Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath on Monday imposed a complete ban on the sale of liquor and meat in Mathura.
“The officers concerned are directed to make plans for a ban and for the involvement of people involved in such activities in other trade,” he said.

He suggested that those involved in trading liquor and meat can take milk to sell milk to revive Mathura’s glory, which is known to produce a large number of animal milk.

“Every effort will be made to develop ‘Brij Bhumi’ and there will be no scarcity of funds for this.
We see a combination of modern technology and cultural and spiritual heritage for regional development,” he said.
Yogi also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving a new direction to the country.
He said the places of faith were ignored for a long time revived now.
