Coimbatore: A two-wheeler mechanic has been detained for possession of 106 liquor retailers for earnings at his home in Marappalam about the outskirts of town on Thursday.
The Madukkarai authorities stated that they nabbed 28-year-old G Ravi alias Ragunathana resident of Rajeshwari Nagar in Marappalam, according to a tip he was selling liquor bottles into the general public at elevated prices.
“We ran a raid at his home on Thursday and discovered 106 liquor bottles, that we captured,” a police officer said.
The officer stated Ragunathan had purchased the spirits from Tasmac sockets until the complete lockdown free of comfort came into drive and saved them in his home.
“He began selling the spirits into his acquaintances along with the villagers.
1 bottle, that he purchased for 200, has been offered at Rs 700.
” The Madukkarai authorities filed a case against him under different parts of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act and detained him.
Afterwards, he had been allowed on bail.
