MediaTek has announced the successor of the dimensity of 900 and the dimensity of 800 chipsets.
Dubbed as dimensity 920 and dimensity 810, the new chipset is based on the process of manufacturing 6nm TSMC.
Aimed at medium devices, the second SOC is an octa-core CPU and brings a small performance increase above its predecessor.
The main difference between the two is in terms of high-performance core.
The dimensity of 920 has a Core Cortex-A78, while the dimensity 810 comes with Core Cortex-A76.
Second SOC is expected to arrive later this year.
Dimensity MediaTek 920 Chipset: FeatureShe dimensity 920 is stronger between both and comes with two different core types that include Cores Cortex-A78 at 2.5GHz and Cortex A55 Core at 2.0GHz.
High-performance cores are intended to handle more intensive tasks such as gaming, editing, etc., while the low power core for light tasks.
MediaTek also claims to increase 9% gaming performance with the dimensions of the 920s Mali -G68 MC4.
In addition, the chipset supports LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 storage or LPDDR4x storage and UFS 2.2.
SOC also includes a 5G modem and Vonr service.
Dimensity MediaTek 810 Chipset: The dimensity features 810 sit lower than the dimensity of 920 in the dimensity family.
This is also the first 800 series chipset to be built in the 6nm process.
It comes with Cores Cortex-A76 Core at 2.4GHz and Cortex A55 Core.
As for the graph, it comes with Mali-G57 MC2 and supports LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.
