Patna: One Saurabh Kumar (35), Buxar District Drug Dealer, allegedly cheated by RS 5 Lakh by three polloring at Govind Mitra Road under the Pirbahore Police Station area on Patna on Wednesday.
The victim told the police that he was stopped by three young men near the Govind partner branch of the Indian state bank at 10:30 a.m.
They asked him to show them the bag he was carrying with him.
When he objected, they introduced himself as a personnel from a special task force involved in police operations on several anti-social elements active in the area.
Fraudsters also threatened to sue Saurabh in the case under the Prohibition of Bihar and Excise Act 2016, claiming that he was drunk.
When he denied the allegations, they asked him to accompany them to the police station.
“When I was nervous, they grabbed my bag and collected all cash.
Then, they returned my bag and escaped on their motorcycle.
Most of the shops were closed at the time of the incident,” an investigative officer quoted the victim.
Sho of Pirbahore Police Station, Said-U-Haq, told this reporter that FIR has been submitted based on the victim’s statement.
“CCTV recordings are obtained to ensure the identity of the crime,” he said, adding that the perpetrators would be brought immediately to order.
RS2 Lakh was looted by an armed villain unknown to loot Rs 2 Lakh from the person in charge of the customer service point under the Khusrupur Police Station area at Rural Patna on Wednesday.
The victim, Rajesh Kumar, then filed a complaint with the police in this connection.
