JAIPUR: A group of medication controls and legal metrology division on Friday captured 5,353 pulse oximeters, 147 oxygen concentrators, 46 infrared thermometers – up to Rs 1 crore – in Jhotwara’s S D Agarwal Telecom Private Limited along with R S Enterprises, equally possessed by Anil Agarwal, rather than promoting these things at MRP rather than mentioning the title and address of the producer and importer on those items, an announcement issued by helper medication control (Jaipur) Dinesh Kumar Taneja read.
The drug control (Jaipur) suspended the licences of 8 clinical shops in Jaipur – to 3 to 15 times for indulging in Hazards and promoting medications meant for Covid therapy, with prescription.
The eight health shops include: Health Mart (Sanganer Road), Namdev Medicos (Mansarovar), Medicine Point (Tilak Nagar), Anil Medical and General Store (Mansarovar), Raj Medical (Gujjar Ki Thadi), Salasar Balaji Medicos (Mansarovar), International Traders (MI Road), Square Medicoz (Durgapura).
In another activity, three oxygen concentrators, 65 vaporizers and 225 N-95 masks were captured by a surgical gear shop Option India (Jhotwara) to get black-marketing and promoting those things at a cost higher than MRP.
“A show-cause note was served on the shop for some other flaws under the Drugs & Cosmetics Act.
The license of this shop is going to be suspended when the answer isn’t satisfactory,” said Taneja.
