Mumbai: compensate around Rs 29 lakh to 49-year-old Dombivli women towards sustainable follow-up fees and for life after he suffered postoperative complications after hysterectomy in 2010, the State Consumer Commission said two doctors were negligent in providing medical services.
The woman accused the doctors not getting “Informed Consent” because she was not given a detailed operation.
Receiving filing, the Commission said there was negligence by a doctor because they did not maintain the right medical record or obtained informed consent.
He said the detailed operation record was not written.

It turned out Dr.
Seema Shanbhag Dombivli and Nerul residents Dr.
Ujjwal Mahajan to comply with orders within one month or will bring a 12% interest.
In the complaint submitted to the Commission in 2012, the woman was looking for compensation of Rs 50 Lakh.
He said on November 11, 2010, he underwent surgery by two doctors at Shanbhag Hospital.
On November 19 a few days after being released, he reported back to the doctor for abdominal pain and vomiting.
Even though it was treated because of that, the problem remained.
In March 2011 he had to undergo another operation.
He underwent a major operation in April 2011 and was dismissed in May of that year.
The woman said doctors were negligent when doing laparoscopic hysterectomy because of her injury.
He said he suffered physically and mentally.
The woman said she even lost work due to physical problems and spent a lot of money on medical costs.
The doctors denied the accusation and handed over the injury to the ureter during the laparoscopic hysterectomy operation was a known complication and there was no negligence.
The Commission said the defense of complications received needs to be seen very carefully.
It is said when a patient is in four walls of the operating theater, which is a relative of not having access, it is the responsibility and obligation of the legal doctor to explain what is wrong.
It is said whether complications are expected in any operating procedure, then, what precautions are taken by the doctor, preoperative, intra-operative period and postoperative, must be documented.
The documentation said it had a legally important role.
