Ranchi: Thousands of medical, Jharkhand sales representatives joined the national strike on Wednesday, demanding the implementation of sales promotion employees, GST neglect on drugs and termination of sales of online drugs.
More than 8,000 sales promotion employees increased from work to support 16 points in calling the Federation of Medical Representative Association and Indian Sales (FMRAI).
Bose Anirban, the president of the Jharkhand Bihar Jharkhand sales representative, said their main demands included eliminating GST on drugs and essential medical equipment by the central government, given the amendments made in the Labor Law and the Elimination of the Four Workers Code in addition to the continuation of sales promotion Act of 1976.
While talking to TOI, Bose underlined the need to expand the benefits of insurance to medical staff because they were frontline workers who deal with patients regularly.
“We are truly vulnerable.
During a pandemic, more than 1,000 medical representatives lose their lives throughout the country.
But there is no KIN of those who receive any compensation.
Even though the company gained profits by exploiting the situation and marketing black, they consistently showed no behavior Humanely them towards employees.
“In the state, there are around 8,000 union members spread across 10 district units and two sub-units – Gumla and Ramgarh.
– Which is under the Ranchi district unit from the trade union.
They all campaigned for demands through mass meetings and pickets at work.
Bose said the online drug trend was a big problem.
“Great parties like Ambani and Tata make furniture.
Many people can get their medicines through this online platform.
However, it will remain a challenge to reach a rural belt.
It will also have an impact on the livelihood of many people who work in stores – Pharmaceutical stores.
Therefore, it is important to curb the sale of drugs online, “he added.
