Rajkot: Student medical protests are not interested in releasing their agitation even though Deputy Chairperson of the Minister of Nitin Patel asked them to continue the task.
About 800 students in Rajkot and Jamnagar protested.
Meanwhile, nervous students have also collected the support of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) to pursue their requests.
Students in Rajkot held a candle rally on Monday night while stirring into the seventh day.
Pressur Kamani, the President of the Rajkot Medical Association said, “We have extended our moral support with these students and also asked the government not to take forced action such as asking them to empty the hostel.” Students on the campus Ga Ga Ga Noever have announced a plate beating program outside Dean’s office, which, however, got scuttled after IMA could convince them to postpone the event.
Ravi Kothari, a Rajkot student said, “We will continue with our agitation and IMA support will greatly help us.”
