BAREILLY: Contraband worth Rs 4 crore was retrieved by a jeep included in a road accident which left four people critically hurt on Delhi Lucknow National Highway near here on Saturday, authorities said.
Four individuals traveling in a vehicle were severely hurt in a head-on accident with a jeep beneath the Fatehganj Purvi police station region, authorities said.
On coming to know of the accident, the authorities hurried to the place took the jeep that had struck the car beneath ownership.
Afterwards, they recovered in the car four pound of smack worth Rs 4 crore, authorities said.
The passengers had fled the scene following the crash and a search was launched to them, ” he said.
The wounded, including two girls, have been changed into a private hospital in a critical illness by their relatives, authorities added.
