Kolkata: Medication worth RS 55 Crore was confiscated in West Bengal and four people arrested, police said on Sunday.
Drug traders from the Malda district, and others from Manipur were arrested by the Special Task Force of the Kolkata Regional Police (STF) from the western port area of the city on Friday, they said.
The amphetamine tablet, commonly called Yaba, weighing 2.29 kg was confiscated from them, police said.
During interrogation, the police must know about other donkey sellers related to rackets, said a senior officer.
Furthermore, two men were arrested from the Asian region more at the Malda district Gazole on Saturday night, he said.
Heroine, weighing 10.06 kg, is estimated to be worth RS 50 Crore confiscated from them, the officer said.
Further investigation is taking place, he said.
