Medico, team in the city to create covid awareness

Ranchi: In the movement to reach more people who need medical assistance in the middle of a pandemic and to create awareness of vaccination programs throughout the country, Pediatriatric, Uttar Pradesh Dr.
Kafel Khan and his team reached Ranchi at the time of his initiative named ‘Doctor on Road’.
This initiative was supported by several doctors from New Delhi.
Dr.
Khan, who worked with College Medical and the BRD Hospital in Gorakpur and was arrested twice for medical negligence for the deaths of children in hospitals in August 2017 before his release after the intervention of the High Court of Allahabad, said he had done some states and achieving Ranchi on the 94th day of their journey.
While hosting a free health checkpocket at Haji House here, Dr.
Khan said he had hosted two camps in East Singhbhum and Sarikela after he entered Jharkhand from West Bengal.
“After the camp today, we will visit Godda and Deoghar,” he said.
Talking to Toi about his initiative, he said, “I was sitting and talking with several friends in New Delhi about the sudden increase in Covid case in April this year and then some of my friends who worked at RML and Ganga Ram Hospital said inflow patients Increasing from 30/40 per day to 300 patients per day.
I along with a few friends then see that people are not dying inside the hospital but they lose the breath outside because there are no beds, oxygen supply and medicine.
So , we decided to run this campaign with the help of several friends and here.
“He further said that during his initiative so far, his team had consulted 20,000, children, including more than 450, a pediatric problem treated and educating the masses in symptoms Covid among children.
His team also distributed more than 45,000 masks and urged everyone to take a vaccine.
“It’s the 94th day of our initiative and reaching Jharkhand after visiting, Delhi, Rajasthan, Bihar and West Bengal.
The idea is to serve people in areas where rare medical facilities.
Initially, we funded our work but gradually we began to accept donations from the public, “said Dr.
Khan.
In his experience after traveling to various countries, he said, “I can summarize this one line – not because of Covid-19 that our health system has collapsed but a virus that has exposed a weak system in our country.” Dr.
Khan was occupied by accusations under law.
– National Security (NSA) and the case of children’s death.
The accusation was dropped after the High Court intervened.
