New Delhi: Delhi woke up to a bright sky on Wednesday, but there would be moderate rain until it was heavy at night throughout the national capital area, the Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) was predicted.
Delhi can see heavy rainfall spells between September 16 and September 17, while light shower is predicted until September 20.
According to IMD data, Delhi received 5 mm rain in the last 24 hours ended at 8:30 a.m.
on Wednesday at Palam Observatory, while other parts of the city did not receive rain during the same period.
The maximum temperature on Tuesday is recorded at 33.4 degrees Celsius, one notch below normal, and a minimum at 23.6 degrees Celsius, one notch below normal.
For Wednesday, the IMD has predicted that the maximum temperature is likely to be at 34 degrees Celsius, while the minimum will be 23 degrees Celsius.
From 15 September, City had witnessed 12 days of rainfall, which was the second highest number of days for rainfall since 2011.
In September 2018, a total of 14 days of rainfall were recorded in the city, according to IMD data.
