The jury for the international film festival all 52 of India (IFFI) consists of filmmakers and cinema experts from around the world.
Iranian filmmaker Rakhshan Banietemad will lead the jury, which included filmmakers from Iran, Sri Lanka, England, Columbia and India.
Meet the Cinema Expertsiranians filmmaker Rakhshan, 67, is known for addressing social issues in films and documentary.
He is also known as the State Capital of Iran.
Another jury member for international competitions is Stephen Woolley, producer, director of the UK, Ciro Guerra, filmmakers of Columbia, Vimukthi Jayaasundara, filmmaker from Sri Lanka, and Nila madhab Panda is a member of the jury’s India.
Speaking about the competition, Nila tells us, “The jury will meet in Goa and we’ll watch a movie together in the theater.
I am looking forward to it.
What could be better than watching movies back-to-back from all over the world.”
15 films will compete for gold peacock
An official of the festival said, “Members of the international jury we are pioneers in their field.
They are known for their excellence in filmmaking.
We are grateful that they have accepted our invitation, and we are pleased that the filmmakers Iran Rakhshan Banietemad is chairman of the jury.
It is one of the most important part of the festival featuring some of the best films of the year.
“this year, 15 films have been selected from hundreds of entries.
It will compete for gold peacock and other awards.
