Sharan Shetty has been in the hospitality profession for a while now.
He is not someone you will call a photographer but a photo clicked by Pune-based hospitality professionals has won the first prize at the iPhone 2021 photography award.
“It’s funny when I say this, but I became a photographer just because of the iPhone’s entry into my life, he said.
The title of the image -It won the award was taken in Azerbaijan in September 2019 when Shetty traveled around the hill in Yanar Dag, near the raw.
What caught my attention was a man’s relationship with his horse.
Both were tired of walking up the mountain and both decided to rest, “Shetty explain the concept behind the image.
He chose this special image as giving rise to bonds distributed by both so beautiful.
“Therefore the name bond”, he said.
Shetty does not expect awards, especially because it has never taken part in any competition.
But ‘love’ for the iPhone and the picture close to his heart, he sent his shipment.
It’s hard to believe at first that he has won but he secretly hopes that the image will “at least mention somewhere”.
Shetty starts with taking a landscape photo, but moves to photographing portraits.
“Humans, their behavior, their culture, their relationship with nature is what has inspired me lately,” he said.
The ‘trip’ in photography starts with the iPhone.
Easy, user friendly, right in the pocket comfortably and not let it miss for a moment, he said.
“I don’t need to worry about the button and camera settings because it combines most of the features needed for perfect shots in any settings,” he said.
Next, the iPhone made it fast and helped him quietly when photographing on the streets.
