Meet to decide on traffic plans for flying jobs

Pune: Deputy Chief of Minister Ajit Pawar on Friday Directing Commissioner of Division Pune Saurabh Rao to discuss with all stakeholders and decide on the traffic management system for the commencement of the Double-Shivajinagar University for the Hinjewadi-Shivajinagar Metro line.
Rao is also the Chair of the Unified Pune Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Pumta).
With work tend to start post-diwali, a meeting, chaired by Rao, will be held next week to sketch the action plan, said pawar.
He said the preliminary discussion was held with all stakeholders considering several ways passing through Aundh, Baner, Senapati Bapat Road, Range Hills, Harekrishna Road and Pashhan met at Chowk University.
Pawar said the detailed traffic management system must be planned along with the traffic and the police department to cause the minimum chaos at Chowk University.
He said that Pumta would have representatives from the Development Authority of the Pune Metropolitan Area (PMRDA), Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the Police Department and Traffic, Defense, National Cooperative Management Institute for Vaikth Mehta and the train that would provide phase construction input and advice Wise from a double-deck blanket.
The pawar further said that during last year’s pandemic, The Old Flyover, was built in 2006, was destroyed to cause minimum traffic congestion.
This new plan imagined a double-deck for the stripes of Metro Nagpur and the entire plan had been prepared by IIT-Mumbai and Systra, a multinational engineering and construction group.
The plan was approved by selected representatives and funding will be given by the state government, said Pawar.
The Double-Deck Flyover is estimated to cost around RS270crore.
He said construction work would begin once the concession holder, Tata -Semens, gave a shake.
This project will be inaugurated by the minister’s chairman, he said.
Commissioner PMRDA Suhas Diarwase told TII that this project would likely start after Diwali, while working in most places along the stretch had already taken place.
The project needs to be completed within three years and four months from the date of starting.
Some preliminary work has been going on, including a barricade job around 3 km and the foundation of the pillar work inside the barricade.
