Patna: Secretary of Urban Development Anand Kishor on Sunday formally launched the Mega screen in Gandhi Maidan by Patna Smart City Limited (PSCL).
The 75×42 foot Mega screen was inaugurated by CM Nith Kumar in September last year.
However, film screening cannot be started due to covid pandemic.
An PSCL official said two Hindi films were played earlier this week during a trial.
A maximum of 1,000 people can see movies and other performances at one time on the Mega screen.
The screen, installed with RS 11 crore expenses, is inflatable.
It was raised through order by filling it with air before each action.
Kishor said the film education and culture would be filtered on a giant screen.
He added that seating capacity will increase if needed.
Harshita, Public Relations Officer (PRO) from the PSCL, said the mega screen is the biggest outer screen in this country, where people can watch free movies and other events.
