Saint John / New Delhi: Fugitive Diamantaire Mehul Choksi has claimed that he is “always available for cooperation” with agents who investigate bank fraud cases and allege that “kidnapping effort” made by Indian institutions.
Choksi, who was guaranteed by the Dominica High Court to travel back to Antigua for seeking medical help from a neurologist based in there, told Ani that his medical condition deteriorated.
Choksi said he had “until now” seriously considered returning to prove his innocence in India but “his medical condition was very bad”.
He also said he was “seriously worried” about his safety in India Choksi arrived at Antigua and Barbuda on a private plane.
He will receive medical care locally and will report to the Dominican authority for his condition and every time he leaves his house.
“I returned home but this torture had left a permanent scar on my psychology and a physical scar, a little permanent on my soul.

The 62-year-old fugitive was sought in India in connection with 13,500 crore rs fraud at Punjab National Bank (PNB).
He claimed that he told the investigation institution to visit Antigua to interrogate him.
“Many times, I told the agent to visit here to interrogate me because of health problems, I could not travel anymore.
I was always available for cooperation with agency but this inhuman abrasion abrasion was never expected by me,” he gave me Know Ani.
