ROSEAU: Fugitive diamantaire Mehul Choksi didn’t appear at Magistrate’s Court at Roseau on June 14 to the beginning of the trial against him within his illegal entry to the Caribbean nation, since he had been suffering from psychological stress and professional elevated blood pressure, his attorneys advised that the court.

It is going to be heard at 9 am (Caribbean period ) on June 25.
The judge also has arranged for Choksi to be brought to court on June 17 for additional remand.
Mehul Choksi will stay under police guard for a patient in the Dominica China Friendship Hospital before another date of this trial.
Choksi had gone missing from Antigua on May 23 after heading out for supper and was soon captured in Dominica.
He had been charged with illegal entry from law enforcement in Dominica later he supposedly escaped Antigua and Barbuda at a potential effort to prevent extradition to India.
The 62-year-old widow is needed in India in relation with a Rs 13,500-crore fraud at the Punjab National Bank (PNB).
