NEW YORK: Former Mayor of New York Mayor Bill De Blasio announced Tuesday that he would not run for the governor, but instead he would devote himself to fight inequality in New York.
His decision not to enter the primary of the democracy further strengthened the Governor’s campaign Kathy Hochul, who already had the command began to lock support and fundraising.
“No, I will not run for the Governor of the State of New York.
But I will suggest every fiber from my existence to fight inequality in the state of New York,” said the former mayor in a video posted on Twitter.
De Blasio does not offer more detail about how he plans to fight inequality.
De Blasio, who left the office at the end of 2021, has hinted for months around 2022 for the governor, said he wanted to live in public services and be proud of his eight years as the largest mayor of the city in the country.

Lelitia James, who investigated charges against Cuomo, came out after a short-lived bid and chose to give a re-election.
De Blasio – and Williams – will rely on the selector support base in Brooklyn, but Hochul has often traveled to New York City and Hobnobbing with Brooklyn Democrats, in particular, to support support.
Original Buffalo has won support from key figures in the De Blasio region, such as the Chairman of the Democratic Party Brooklyn and President Borough Manhattan.
De Blasio has targeted a campaign for months.
He submitted a document in early November with the State Election Council to create a fundraising committee – New York for a fair future – to allow him to collect money for campaigns throughout the state.
In November, he launched a campaign state education plan called for Universal Pre-K and “3-K,” and was shy in a series of interviews about whether he intended to run.
In 2013, De Blasio became the first Democrats to function as Mayor of New York City since 1993 in a city where Democrats exceed the number of Republicans 7 to 1.
He came to the office with a liberal agenda but struggled with tabloid titles that cannot be run and mocking in time the largest city in this country.
De Blasio, who was born in Manhattan and grew up in Cambridge, Massachusetts, launched a short-lived presidential campaign in 2019, when he started his first day as a candidate with trump.
But he faced a pushback of new people who were skeptical of his offer, interspersed by him failed to qualify for some debate, wagging the appearance of the campaign in Miami by quoting Che Guevara and technical mistakes who distorted his voice when talking to a videoonference worker.
Before serving as mayor, De Blasio was a public advocate and members of the city council.
He worked on the Mayor’s 1989 campaign for David Dinkins, New York City’s first black mayor, and then served in the Dinkins government.
He also managed the Senate 2000 Hillary Clinton campaign in New York, working in former President Bill Clinton’s administration in the Department of Housing and Urban Development and managing New York operations for the 1996 recovery campaign at the time.
