Bengaluru: Political travel is on the card on Sunday when Congress will launch 168 km Mekedatu inyatra in Sangama, meeting the Cauvery and Arkavathi rivers, in the middle of the night hours and warnings of the state government.
The government plans to stop congressional workers to participate in the Atiyatra on the Kanakapura border.
Ramanagara District authorities have orders inhabitants in all districts and police have established barricades in all districts and within 2,000 personnel when BJP is in power overlooking the opposition Congress.
Police sources said the forces combined and additional staff were on standby.
The official source said the government had asked the police not to start actions if the Congress did inyatra on the first day with no more than 15 members.
Notifications were issued for the Head of the DK State Congress Shivakumar against holding in Hylamatra when the Covid-19 limit applies.
“We told him that holding inyatra would be a violation of restrictions and Covid cases would be ordered if they violated the sidewalk.
There was no answer from him,” said Ramanagara police supervisor.
He and Kanakapura Tahsildar met Shivakumar in Sangama on Saturday.
The Interior Minister Araga Jnanendra said the offenders would be ordered under the disaster management law.
Professional invites inyatra will begin at around 8:30 a.m.
after a special puja to the Cauvery River.
According to sources, Shivakumar invited Kannada Actor Shivarajkumar to take part in the inaugural program to give a touch of apolitical.
The party has invited doctors, engineers and other professionals to support the streets.
On the first day, it will cover 15 km to reach Doddalahalli, the original village of Shivakumar.
The plan is for a diayatra to end Bengaluru on January 19 and lead to public rallies.
Previously on Saturday, Shivakumar did a special puja for his family god in Kanakapura.
He claimed the government was trying to clamp in the police using the police and impose additional restrictions in Ramanagara District.
“Soyatra is for the benefit of the people and there are no questions to return,” he added.
