Mela Magh 2022: Dist Admin plans to curb waste water from falling in Ganga

Prayagraj: All waterways that empty on the Ganges and Yamuna rivers will be tapped and the weekly sampling of the water of these channels will be carried out three times a week, starting from January 1, 2022.
This and many important decisions made at a meeting review of the Progress of Magh Mela 2022 was held under the leadership of the Sanjay Goyal Division Commissioner, on Friday.
In the meeting, held at the ICCC auditorium located in Mela’s office, it was decided that given the cleanliness of the river, the necessary guidelines were given to the authorities concerned to prevent waste disposal that was not treated into the river.
In addition, water samples from waterways will be collected and the same thing will be tested at the Laboratory of the Polution Control Board and Ganga Polution Control Unit as a lab located at the Nehru Technology Institute Nehru (MNNIT) has limited resources.
To stop erosion because of the strong currents of River Ganga in various places of the Mela region, the irrigation department has been asked to take the steps needed to examine erosion.
While reviewing the works of the Department of Public Works (PWD), it was directed that as a step in the construction of the pontoon bridge, which was built in the Slow Mela area, officials were ordered to ensure that bridge number 1 and 2, built in Mahavir and Triveni Marg, must be resolved December 15 and three other bridges, on December 25.
Given the pandemic and precautions needed to be taken, the Ministry of Health has been instructed to set a sample center and ambulance in sufficient quantities.
The department also made arrangements for 15 sampling centers, 30 ambulances and around 11 vaccination centers for Mela this time.
For cleanliness and cleanliness, it has been agreed to build 15,000 toilets in the Mela region.
Of these, there will be 1500 pre-fabricated steel toilets, 3000 tent toilets, 300 urinals, 9000 institutional toilets and 900 in government institutions.
For worshipers, the authorities will build at least 10 Ghats, stretching from Nagvasi to Sangam.
Because of this Ghats, the number of worshipers who want to take a bath in which will be diverted.
Has been clarified with all non-vegetable consumption, liquor or other types of abuse substances are strictly prohibited in the Mela area.
Likewise, dances or obscene songs or vulgar will also be banned.
Authorities have decided that such a previous weld, there will be two central control rooms for Shivir Bhule-Bhatke (loss and find people).
All areas of Mela will be illuminated by several high poles and proper lighting.
Installing a blower or heater in camps will be prohibited.
