Pune: A violation was registered with a 41-year-old man and his girlfriend after the former allegedly used his wife’s aadhaar card for identification to check into a hotel in Pune Maharashtra, police said on Friday.
The case was registered in the Duo at the Hinjewadi Police Station on Tuesday, an official said.
According to the police, the man is an entrepreneur based in Gujarat and his wife is a director at the company.
The complainant has installed a GPS device in her husband’s car and learned that she was cheating and filed a complaint, he said.
“The woman has installed a GPS tracker in her husband’s SUV.
In November last year, when she told her about her business trip to Bengaluru, she checked its location and found that the car was in Pune,” the official said.
When the complainant contacted the hotel, the staff told him that the man had examined his wife, he said.
After checking CCTV’s footage, the woman knew that her husband had examined the hotel with another woman, using her aadhaar card, the official said.
The case below part 419 (cheating) IPC has been registered against the man and his girlfriend, who fled, he said.
