Thiruvananthapuram: Ayiroor police under the border of the rural police district has recorded the arrest of a 30-year-old man on charges of killing his own father during a drunk fight.
Satheesh from Panayara below the limit of the Ayiroor police station was accused of killing his father Sathyan, 55.
According to the police, the crime allegations took place on Sunday night at their residence.
The two men were reported to consume liquor together and enter a fight, which soon grew into a fight.
Even though the family took Sathyan to the government hospital in Varkala, he immediately gave up on injury.
The police have registered the case as an unnatural death and launched the probe.
They also took Satheesh after learning about fighting.
On Tuesday, the police accepted the opinion of the surgeon who conducted a post mortem examination that Sathhyan was killed.
There was a big injury to the head and the ligature sign on the neck showed possible the criticism.
The doctor believes that death can occur due to suffocating.
Based on this information, the police recorded the arrest of Satheesh on Tuesday night.
Both Sathyan and Satheesh were Mason by the profession.
They often use liquor together at home and fight with each other.
Sathyan survived the wife of Sobhana.
In addition to Sathhesh, he has two other children, Sarath and Sajini, police said.
