Tirupur: The 19-year-old boy was attacked by a 65-year-old neighbor to play mobile games too hard at his house in Paracadu in Murugampalayam here on Sunday.
The injured young man was identified as Karthikeyan, Kumarasamy’s son of Paracadu.
A student at the Government Industry Institute in Dharapuram, Karthikeyan was used to play Survival Free Fire shooter games with his friends.
“On Sunday at around 10pm, he sat in front of his house and played the game with a full explosion, when his neighbor R Ramsamy approached him.
Ramsamy lost his emotions when his sleep was disturbed by loud votes.
When he asked the young man to lower the volume, verbal altercation broke out Among them.
In anger, Ramsamy took sickle from his house and attacked the young man.
Karthikeyan suffered an injury in his right hand.
A relatively rushed to Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH).

Karthikeyan’s Elder Brother K Kagupasamy said that the young man chatted with his friends while playing games.
“When he asked another player to attack the opponent, Ramsamy thought that Karthikeyan challenged him,” he said.
Police Veerapandi registered a case against Ramsamy under the Section 294 (b) (said obscene words) and 307 (trying to murder) from the Indian criminal code and arrest it on Monday.
He was returned in Judicial custody.
