Thiruvananthapuram: Mangalapuram police on Saturday arrested a man who appealed to the accusation of Act Pocso for allegedly abusing their eight-year-old daughters.
The defendant’s name was detained to protect the girl’s identity.
Police said the defendant, automatic becak, was arrested based on complaints submitted by the child’s mother.
He was ordered under section 7 and 8 Pocso laws related to underage sexual violence through physical contact with sexual intentions without penetration.
The defendant was the third husband of the girl’s mother.
The girl was a child from her mother’s first wedding.
