Mangaluru: Bantwal City Police have arrested a 30-year-old man for sending obscene messages to a married woman.
The complainant told the police that he was in contact with the man allegedly fake his name.
He claimed he sent obscene messages at WhatsApp for the past six months and used to call him.
When the message frequency increased, he told her husband on September 3, which in turn discovered a defendant belonging to a different faith.
Complaints registered, and the police arrested the defendant.
Cases have been booked based on Section 354 (a) (sexual abuse) and section 67 (a) of IT laws.
