Madurai: Madurai District Police on Monday caught a 30-year-old man from Valayapti near Thiruppaknankundram to share pornography videos of children online.
The defendant has been identified as P Pani, which is a tailor.
He found to have shared children’s porn videos through WhatsApp and email.
The police arrested him after they received information from the National Crime Records Bureau based on national central reports for missing and exploited children, which monitored children’s pornographic material.
The defendant was with a shared child porn video on May 29.
The wing of the Human Trade Unit from Madurai District Police took an investigation and arrested the defendant on Monday.
Perungudi police registered a case under the Information Technology Act and Child Protection of the Act of Sexual Violation.
