Bengaluru: A 38-year-old autorickshaw driver was arrested for allegedly attacking his wife and threw cooking oil for him and their 13-year-old daughter on Sunday.
The defendant was Thomas.
According to the police, he is irregular at work and usually spends time at home.
He used to fight with Anthoniyamma’s wife, 35, suspecting his character.
He came home at 1pm on Sunday when Anthoniyaamma watched TV and daughter, Nancy Jennifer, was sleeping.
Thomas heated around 500ml of cooking oil in the kitchen and attacked his wife with a piece of wood.
When he fell unconscious, he poured oil boiling at him.
Jennifer hurried to save his mother and Thomas poured oil at him too before running away.
The police arrested him on Wednesday and produced it before the court, which stopped him in the custody of the judiciary.
