New Delhi: A passenger who was bound to Darbhanga in Bihar was arrested by the CISF at Delhi International Airport for allegedly carrying two bullets to live in his luggage, officials said on Tuesday.
They said the man and his wife should take Spicejet flights on Monday afternoon but the Central Industry Security Force personnel (CISF) stopped them after they detected ammunition during security checks at terminal-3 from Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI).
Because carrying weapons and ammunition was banned on the plane and after passengers could not complete the authorization of the government to bring the bullets of life, he was revealed and handed over to the local police who ordered it under the Act Act section, officials said.
CISF is tasked with securing and providing counter-terrorist protection to IGI airport.
