New Delhi: A 19-year-old man was arrested by the CISF at New Delhi Metro Station for bringing direct bullets in his luggage, officials said on Tuesday.
Passengers were intercepted at the station on Monday night during a security check.
Because carrying weapons and ammunition was banned in the Metro network and after the man could not give the government authorization to bring bullets, he was handed over to Delhi police to be investigated, they said.
The man was said to be a resident of the son of Sonepat in Haryana.
Central Industrial Security Forces (CISF) was assigned to secure and provide counter-terrorist protection to the Delhi Metro network in the national capital area.
