New Delhi: A 26-year-old man was arrested for allegedly setting a burning thread factory in Okhla Delhi Southeast in a drunken condition, police said on Sunday.
The fire incident at the factory in the Okhla industrial area took place on Friday.
An automatic truck and pedicab also burned, they said.
The case under the relevant legal sections registered at the Okhla police station and investigations taken, police said, adding that CCTV recordings from the area were analyzed.
Two people allegedly looked roaming in factory places.
The police identified one of them as Gulfam of Okhla Phase-2 and arrested him, said a senior police officer.
During the interrogation, he revealed that he was there with a colleague and they were drunk, the officer said.
He said a car arrived there, and his residents spoke to his friend, who then asked Gulfam to burn the factory, convincing him that he would be paid in one or two days, the officer added.
Further investigation was underway to capture the other two, police said.
