Thanjavur: A 24-year-old man was stabbed to death by a man belonging to a non-dalit community and his accomplice in Kumbakonam, allegedly for developing a relationship with his small daughter.
The police said the 52-year-old girl Manikandan and her friend Karthi had been arrested and booked under five parts including SC / ST Act.
The incident occurred at Konulampallam Road near Kamatchipuram on Saturday night where the victim of Prabakanan, his friend Dairithi and the two defendants came together.
The police said Manikanadan had asked Karthi to bring Prabakanan, residents of Vettamangalam Village, to discuss certain things.
Dairithi also accompanied the praburan when they met around 7pm.
According to complaints submitted by the Prabakan sister, e Priyanka with the Panthanlatur Regional Police, both Manikanda and Karthi suddenly launched an attack on the praburan with bottle of liquor and stabbed it with a knife.
This was conveyed to him by Dairithi who escaped from the scene.
Immediately, their relatives rushed to the scene and brought the praburan to Kamatchipuram PhC from where he shifted to Kumbakonam GH but the doctor there said he died.
The complaint said the Princess Prabakaran and Manikandan were 17 years old, who studied in class XI in higher government high schools, established relationships.
To find out this, Manikandan, welders and residents of Kamatchipuram Barat Marathurai, have warned praburan several times that he will face terrible consequences if he continues the relationship.
Based on complaints, the SR OM Prakash Inspector registered a further complaint and investigation.
