Ghaziabad: A 27-year-old man has been submitted 20 years in prison to rape a little girl in Vijay Nagar in 2015.
The girl studied in class 2 private school when she was attacked.
“Attack was reported on July 27, 2015, in the Vijay Nagar area.
The police have submitted a Chargesheet against the defendant (Monu).
After the trial, he was found guilty by the court,” said Utasrh Vats, Public Prosecutor (ACT Pocso).
According to VAT, Monu came to the girl’s house when her parents went to work – they were employed with private companies in Delhi.
He asked him to bring a pack of cigarettes from the nearest shop.
The girl, then 11, was initially reluctant, but was persuaded by the defendant to come out.
The sister and sister watched TV and didn’t realize when the little girl left home.
“While he was on his way home, Monu took the girl to his room and raped him.
The girl, who bleed, returned home and told her parents what happened to her.
Monu had fled home at that time,” said the lawyer.
The girl’s parents filed a police complaint against Monu and FIR registered under it under Section 376 (punishment for rape) IPC and 3 with 4 of the Pocso Law.
Monu was then arrested.
In court, Monu’s lawyer tried to argue that his client did not have a case registered against it regardless of this one.
He looked for a minimum prison, said young Monu and the only member of income in his family.
But Tong told the court that it was for people like Monu that “fear of women out of their homes”.
“Such crimes not only opposed women but the community as a whole,” he said.
After hearing both sides, Special Judges (Pocso) Harshvardhan passed his verdict.
Apart from the term 20 years in prison, Monu was asked to pay a fine of RS 1 Lakh.
The money will be handed over to the girl’s family.
“The failure to pay a fine will lead to expanded prisons to be accused,” said the court.
