Men got a 10-year prison for Mahar’s death

Kanpur: A man, Mohd Taufeeq, was punished by an additional session of the Judge XIII Kanpur Nagar on Wednesday for a dowry death and was sentenced to a tight prison and imposed a fine of Rs 10 Lakh.
The Chief Judge ordered 60 percent of the subtle amount to be given to Tanaj and the remaining 40 percent for the daughter and son who died Nikhat Parveen.
Justice officials also sentenced two Mohd Shafeeq who were accused of being together and Mohd Naseem to a two-year prison and forced a fine of RS 3,000 respectively.
Two Shahnaz women and Bano were released from charges.
The two accusers accused of guilty of threatening their daughter victims Nikhat Parveen to Mohd Taufeeq on May 4, 2006, at Deva Sharif in Barabanki and gave a big dowry.
However, Nikhat was pressurized to take Rs 5 lakh for the second car.
